Volunteering in Uganda

If you would like to do something totally different and to come to Uganda as a volunteer, you would be warmly welcomed to do so at anytime. You can stay as long as you like—a few weeks, a month, a year, or even longer— you can even come for a couple weeks to try it out and maybe come again later for longer! You will have a chance to help orphans in Uganda while also being able to enjoy time away from the daily routine.

We are looking for committed people with a desire to help:
Kindergarten teachers, education social workers, nurses, teachers, doctors, etc.; but it is not a requirement to be trained as such. You will not want to miss out on the opportunity to spend time these kids.

Our operations are located in a region with wonderful crater landscapes, only a few kilometers away from the Queen Elizabeth National Park.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS

  • Applying your talents to support the children—arts and crafts, music making, singing, etc.
  • Visiting families in the neighboring homes to establish contact with them.
  • Taking time off here and there to discover the region, including the Queen Elizabeth National Park.

As a volunteer, you will be able help those that are in need and have an opportunity to widen your horizons. Come and help—you will be rewarded with an unforgettable experience!

The round-trip transportation costs to and from our premises will fall under the responsibility of the volunteer and Bridge to Uganda welcomes any contributions to help cover living expenses.
